Everett Bay is an English-speaking country. However, it is not uncommon to hear some people speaking Spanish. Because of the division between the British and Spaniards in the country's early history, both languages are still present in its modern-day culture. The city of Santa Guerra is a Spanish-speaking city. Spanish architecture stands tall above the bustling city. Any signs or form of writing in Santa Guerra is written in Spanish. Santa Guerra is the only lasting Spanish community from after the war ended with the British. Languages that originated from the native people of Everett Bay are becoming more and more scarce with every year. The Nadees or "People of the River" are the last native group of the island to be recognized. A small portion of the Sundar River is occupied by the few Nadee communities left today. Their native language, Nadeon, is slowly on its way to extinction. Conservation groups are working to keep the Nadees on their land and to preserve their unique language.
